I'm trying to pin down a J.P. Huger, detailed to signal corps and serving at Fort Sumter when (per report in I OR 35(1) 201) he was killed by a Parrott shell 13 Apr 64.

Two SC men of this name are in NPS Civil War Soldiers roster, one Co. A, Bn SC State Cadets, the other Manigault's Bn SC Arty.

On the other hand, I have a Prioleau Huger not otherwise accounted for.

Can anyone identify this J.P. Huger?
