Your question presents a problem- none of the Tennessee units, either US or CS , were in that area at that time. The Federal 8th Cav. and 8th Infantry seem to have been in the Knoxville area. The rebel 8th Cav and 8th Inf. both were near Chattanooga. The CS 8th Tennessee Cav. may have passed close to that area during Wheeler's Central Tennessee Raid, but that took place in October, 1863 and I'm not sure they made it into Kentucky. Also a problem is that the Tennessee river doesn't flow through or near Monroe County, Kentucky, although the Cumberland does.
