Can anyone suggest where to look for information on the riots that took place in Nashville around September 8, 1862. The 1st Middle Tennessee Volunteers (latr the 10th Tenn. Infantry, I think) participated in that. I think they were organized a day or two before the riots. I found a pension folder at the National Archives while researching the 1st (East) Tennessee Volunteer Infantry. Who fought whom and over what? Thanks if anyone can shed light on this middle Tennessee group. N
