In Search of Pvt. Archibald Clabough

I have recently been in contact with relatives in my geneology research and I have found that My ggGrandfather Pvt Archibald Clabough served with Thomas' Legion NC Infantry CSA serving in Colonel James R Love's Regiment Co.I along with at least one of his brothers enlisting on July 24, 1862 in or around Seveir Co TN. in which He lived. Here is were I need Help I have him serving with the 2nd Tennessee Calvary Regiment USA serving in Co K along with his two Brothers being wounded in action near Florence Alabama and recieving Union Pension according to his Military records in which I have a copy Complete down to the Surgeons reports and copies of his medical records. Is it possible he served both ? He joined the Union Calvary in Kentucky in Dec 1862. Both are 100 % the same Pvt Clabough Any help is appreciated. Thanks Lisa
