Hello,

I am searching for information regarding the Conasauga Volunteers. This unit lost their flag at the Battle of Mill Springs but I cannot find what regiment they were with.

Their captain was David Cobb and they received their flag in McMinn County, where the unit was raised. They are named after the Conasauga Creek which flows into the Hiawasee River. Cobb ended up with the 16th Tennessee for some time before being dropped (he was 62 when he formed the company).

Any help with the unit would be appreicated.
