I hope someone can help me find my GG Grandfather he died in the civil war.His name was Nicholas Sante he was born in Switzerland about 1836 His family is found in the 1850 Morgan co TN he was 14 years old . In 1856 he is found in Kingston TN where he married Mary Ann Morrison I do not know if he was in the CSA or the union army.He did have a brother inlaw James Bernard Morrison who died at Ft. Delaware USA prison buried at Finns Point Nat'l Cemetery NJ I could not find any pension application his wife did remarry.He probably enlisted in Roane Co TN.He might be listed as a German they left Germany for the USA Thank you all very much
