Can anyone point me to any sources regarding early war Tennessee Confederate rank insignia and uniforms? To give an example of exactly what I'm talking about, during this time period a captain had 3 stars on each side of the collar like the later Confederate regulation colonel. Also, around the bottom of the collar was a single line of gold braid.
