Ken, I didn't know you had an ancestor in the 14th Tennessee. Do you have much information on him and/or the history of the "14th"? You may or may not know that I research (maybe, someday a book) the history of the 5th Alabama Battalion, a sister unit of the 14th Tennessee in Archer's Brigade. I've just discovered a cache of 125 unpublished wartime letters from the commander of the 5th AL Bn., Major A.S. Van de Graaff. I've read a number of them, but I'm currently negotiating with the family to gain access to all of them. Undoubtedly, there's information that overflows into the history of the 14th Tennessee and the other units of the brigade.

I'm having a little trouble with my internet service provider, right now, so I'm not sure if the new capability to send a "blind" email on this forum is actually working, nor do I think the "automatic response notification" is working either. Ah, the trials and tribulations of a "web dude".

Thanks for contributing, as always. I'm really excited about some of the new sites and hope this resource continues to grow in quality and quantity.
