when the 40th TN regt went into battle evidently my Great Grandfather John Alexander Mcduffie was too ill to go and remained behind as he is not listed with the prisoners of war. Does any one know if those who were ill stayed in the camp until the 40th reorganized into the TN 42nd Regt and if so which camp or in a field hospital and if so where would that have been located? any information would be appreciated
