Well, there were two points to my last post. 1) Many properly prepared grave markers have become illegible or expired overtime. 2) Approximately 8,000 of the Confederates who survived the Battle of Ft. Donelson were sent to Camp Douglas where live and dead soldiers were treated with the vilest contempt. Hastily prepared battlefield graves are one thing, disrespect for dead POW's is indefensible.

My gg-grandfather, a native of Dover, TN, was one of those original guests at 80 Acres of Hell.
