Re: 5th Tennesee Calvary **
In Response To: Re: 5th Tennesee Calvary ()

Dear Sir,

Please be aware that the 5th Tennessee Battalion and the 5th Tennessee Regiment are two different units. The 5th Battalion men were from

Company A: Bradley and Polk Counties

Company B: Hamilton County, some men from northern Ala.

Company C: Knox, Union, Claiborne

Company D: Hawkins and Hancock

Company E: Blount

I have reenacted (that is me on the left on my homepage) on occassion but since 9/11 my time has been limited. My site is not a reenactor's site but a regimental and research site. There is a small group that reenacts the 39th Georgia but I have no contact with them nor do I recommend them. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully,
