If you are a lineal (direct) descendant of a Union Civil War veteran and are female age 8 years of age and up, you may be eligible for membership in the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Formed in 1885 in Ohio, we now have Departments in several states and Tents (local chapters) in Tennessee. There are several Departments in several states which oversee Tents. We are a non-profit lineal descent patriotic organization founded to keep alive the memory of those ancestors who fought during the War Between the States, so that future generations may also remember and keep their memories alive.
