Hi Randy,

Good to hear from you again. Last time you helped me with some BLAKELY ancestors that were in the Union 1st Tenn Cav. I recall you saying A.J. Camp was in Company C. He's not listed among the 6 left from Company C at Appomattox or anywhere on the list. He was probably captured at Fort Steadman. My ancestor was Pvt. James Jefferson Land, Co.D ( Washington County. ) He was a Nephew of my g,g,grandfather David Land who served in the 13th North Carolina Inf. Do you have access to any Union Rosters with East Tennessee troops ? You were of great help with the BLAKELYS. My grandmother's maternal grandfather was JAMES CARROLL ( spelled CAROL,CARRELL,CARROL ? ) The 1860 census of Sullivan County has him 27 yrs old. The only thing I know for sure about his war service was he didn't survive. As far as I know, his widow NANCY didn't draw any pension. My grandmother was an avid East Tennessee Republican so I suspect like her other grandfather Jackson Blakely in the Union 8th Tenn Cav. JAMES probably fought for the Yanks to.If you see anything on him please let me know. Good talking with you again.

God's Blessings
Glenn Land
