While I'am not researching the 3rd Tenn.Mtd; I'd like to see some info on them. JACKSON SIMMONS mustered as a Private,mustered out as a Corp. Served in Company F. He and later his wife Sarah drew a Federal pension. They were the parents of my maternal g,grandmother, Mary Simmons Cox. I've seen research that says they were a 90 day regiment and didn't do much, then I remember reading somewhere that they were in a constant running fight with elements of the Thomas Legion and Vaughn's Confederate Mtd Inf. for the last couple of years of the war.
