Thanks for the info on 3rd Tn. Mtd. web site. I've seen it but hadn't been there for awhile. I enjoyed seein it again.I think I found your Georgia Confederates, at least the ones in the 52nd Inf. All these enlisted the same day. 3-4-62. All served in Co.G James W. Jasper, Martin V. and Melville Garrett. Of the 4 uncles of my g,grandfather I mentioned, 2 were paroled at Vicksburg. The other 2 were captured at Big Black River Bridge 5-17-1863 and died as P.O.W.'s. I found several Garretts in the 11th Inf but in 2 different Companies. The site I was on didn't have any info on Georgia cav. but your ancestor is the only one mentioned on the Soldier search site hosted by the N.P.S. You probably already knew all this but just in case there ya go.
