Don't know whether to post here under Tennessee or North Carolina since they served in East Tennessee and ventured, also, into North Carolina. I had another GGUncle in the Confederate Cavalry. I have been told this ancestor had the last name of Seiber, from Frost Bottom, Tennessee and served as a cavalryman in Thomas' Cherokee Legion. Can anyone come up with anything on this ancestor?

Many, many thanks and a heartfelt sense of gratitude to those of you that have spent time researching and posting on here what you have found for me. I have had a VERY difficult time coming up with the names of any Confederate ancestors that I have. This part of the country went heavily toward the Union and any relatives they had tried to cover up any info or disowned any that went into Confederate service. Well, I disown and don't claim any so-called ancestors that went to the other, dark side (LOL)!
