I'm trying to help a patron track down the Civil War ancestor of a patron. Alex Thomas Anderson was born in Mississippi in 1842 and died in 1907 in Arkansas. His widow stated he was in a Mississippi regiment but I can't read the commander's name. Is anyone familiar with it? He and his mother were in Shelby County, TN in 1860 so his widow may be mistaken on the Mississippi part.
