Yes, Rennolds "Henry County Commands" does indeed state that
Flowers planted their flag on the works.
The newspaper(??) article that you posted states that it was a man
named Puckett.
Yes, it is possible that more than one man carried the flag, but it
would seem unlikely that they both planted it on the yankee works.

Please contact your historian/teacher and get a source for what you
posted earlier.
I've been attempting to compile a roster of Confederate Colorbearers
for over 25 years now. Puckett is a new name!!
I remember we corresponded years ago. Did you ever find a photo of
Flowers?
