If you are near Nashville I reccomend visiting the new Brookemeade Park and Kelley's Point Battlefield in West Nashville near the Charlotte Pike WalMart and Lowe's. I have not heard anything about it officially opening but I visited it today and there are some informative signing and a nice trail leading back to the point on the river where Col David C. Kelley held off seven Union gunboats during the siege of Nashville in December of 1864. Looks like they are planning some more displays, etc but it is worth a visit now.
