I know where your ancestor is buried. Someone did the research and placed a monument in the Confederate cemetery where he and approx 155 other Confederate dead are buried in the Silverdale Confederate Cemetery in modern-day Chattanooga, TENN. The cemetery is located next to a modern motel, and is also next to a new Harley-Davidson dealership as well. It's still kept up very well, and you may want to go visit it at some point.

My brother and I went there last week searching for our ancestors, two brothers, 14 and 18 years old when they died in July of 1862 at one of the CSA hospitals in the area.
