Interesting article online.
Allyn writes that there was a Federal Smallpox Cemetery with 1,524 burials. This cemetery was located in the general vicinity of the smallpox quarantine hospital just north of Charlotte Pike and 19th Ave North (today). He also talks about the other two Federal dead burial sites. Several internet sites were given where records of the burials can be accessed.
