Hi Nick,
Just read through a few of the threads on this website and suddenly saw that you are that kid on the documentary. I have always wondered about reincarnation and had doubts. I use to dream about past lives, but discarded them. Then I saw a documentary on Genetic Memory which made more sense to me.

In Andersonville, GA there is a place where soldiers from past wars are buried, including the Civil War. When I sat and saw the film they showcase, it suddenly struck me with grief about all that soldiers endure in war. I actually have in my possession a genuine document from the Bureau of Pensions that authorizes a Corporal from the 105th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry to receive Seventeen dollars per month starting September 23, 1891. The soldier suffered a gunshot wound on the right hand losing his third finger. As close as I can make out his name was Truman or Luman G. Gristo.

This document is from the Department of Interior, Bureau of Pensions. This might be a good place to help with your research.
