How,where and can anyone provide information of and where there were engagements, skirmishes and guerilla action in Hickman Co., TN during the War Between the States? I am going there next month and would like to trace some of my Confederate Ancestor's steps. He began service with the 17th Tenn Inf. but ended serving under Crosses' TN Calvary being paroled at the Deans House by A.D. McNairy, CSA. (I unerstand this was a group of "Scouts" whose activity would probably not be documented.) However, any information of activity in this county would be appreciated.
