Friends of the Resaca Confederate Cemetery Assoc. forming

Is a new group starting up to continue the care and maintain the Resaca Confederate Cemetery.

The State of Georgia has cut back on its caretaking and maintenance of the Confederate Cemetery. The State does not own this cemetery, But has been its caretakers for all of these years. Now it's are turn to take over were the state does not seem to want to go. It has been said that it is not P C to care for them(ie Confederate Cemeteries) in this day and age, But now it i up to us as sons and daughters of these soldiers to care for are Ancestors buried in the cemetery.

Membership is open to all, weither you have an ancestor buried at Resaca, Ga. or just want to help with the upkeep of the Cemetery. There will be a period to see how many members we can get to join and then we will open it up to a vote and election of officers, Dues wil have to be agree upon at the out set of membership as well. Note Dues will go to the upkeep and maintenance of the Cemetery. Only a small portion to go to paperwork and flyers. very small.
