Thanks Scott for your information on the spelling of the names of some of the Confederate dead buried at Emory & Henry and for the military units they were with.As you
know , spelling in the 1860's was a guessing game by many.
The names were taken from a list made shortly after the war
in May 1869 by Prof. Davis of the college, which was used as a hospital all during the Civil War.There are 206 graves
in this section of the cemetery.
