I am trying to do some research on my great-great grandfather, Elijah K. Tomas. He was born October 25, 1842 in Tennessee. He married Rebecca Greer also of Tennessee. They moved to Kentucky (Middlesboro). They left there in 1894 and moved with their unmarried children (Joe, William Patton, Eliza Jane (my great-grandmother) and Ellen in a covered wagon to Texas. Their first home was in the Royce City, TX area. Their grown and/or married children stayed in Middlesboro,KY. Elijah fought in the Civil War in the Tennessee Calvary, Co. A2 - in our family history it states that he fought against a brother, but I do not have his name.
