I'm looking for information on another family member who fought in the Civil War. Spencer A. Perkins - I have a copy of the Pension Index - His widow was Nancy - Application # under "widow" is 602181. I can't read it all. Under "Service" it says B 1 U S C Inf. (l La dra?)
In our family history is says he "took sick" in 1864 and went home - returned to service and for some unknown reason swam the Mississippi River, collapsed and died of a heart attack
Can I order these records also?
