Re: Civil War Hospitals
In Response To: Civil War Hospitals ()

My gggrandfather died in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in November 24, 1862. He was send home to Giles County to be buried. What we don't know is whether he was in a prison or a hospital in Murfreesboro. He had been captured in Dover at Fort Donelson in February. His name was Charles Neil S. Norwood. If there was a Federal Prison in Murfreesboro or a hospital there did it have a name or are there records on either? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
