T.D.C. Regiment

In my efforts to document all Confederate graves here in Oklahoma, I have found a man named D. J. Hendrickson who is buried in Boggy Depot Cemetery in Atoka County, Oklahoma.

He died on 2/26/1864 and his stone indicates he was born in DeKalb County, TN.

Can anyone define his unit for me? His stone says:

Co. E, 20th T.D.C. Regt.

I may be mistaken in assuming he served in the CSA. This may be a Union unit. Either way, I would like to know what T.D.C. stands for.

I am also assuming this is a TN unit as he was apparently born there.

Thanks for all help.
