Hello,

The Memphis Appeal of May 8, 1861, has an article for a flag presentation for the Southern Guards of Mephis. The flag was given to the unit at Ft. Wright near the city.

They do not seem to be the same unit as the Southern Guards from Jackson, TN.

Any ideas of what regiment, if any, the Memphis Southern Guards affiliated with?
