Randy,

Company C was formed at Rogersville, Hawkins County. There is a JOHN ORRICK listed in the 1880 census from Clouds Creek, Hawkins County,Tenn. This John Orrick is listed being born on 1845. His wife's name was Mary Carpenter. He is not listed being among those surrendered at Appomattox. He could have been wounded & discharged, Captured, paroled, and awaiting exchange. Like many East Tennessee Confederates he could have been disillusioned and discouraged and simply went home. Hope this helps.

Glenn
