Re: Hood"s Brigade
In Response To: Hood"s Brigade ()

I see that James Kendall served in Co. F, 1st Texas Infantry. So did one of my ancestors. They were organized in Woodville, TX in the spring of 1861 as the Woodville Rifles. The SCV organization there is called the P.A. Work Camp #1790, named after the original captain, who later became the regiment's lt. colonel in May 1862. His replacement was Sam A. Willson, my gg-grand uncle.

Good luck with your research.

Joe
