62nd Regiment Tennessee Volunteers

I have been searching for months for written record(s) of
my gr-gr grandfather, William Strong Anderson, of Memphis,
Shelby Co., Tennessee being a Captain in the 62nd Regiment
of the Tennessee Volunteers. This was stated in the Memphis
newspaper obituary when he died in 1908 in Memphis.

Does anyone have a roster of the men that served so that I
might either prove or disprove this situation. It seems
that this unit was the subject of one or more merges into
other units and it kind of "disappears" in the records I
have been checking in.

Would appreciate any information anyone may have regarding
this.
