Could anyone tell me if there are any records of burials from hospitals or camps in the Knoxville area in 1862? My ancestor Nathan Nichols was in Co C of the 40th GA and died in camp in June of 1862 from disease. I understand that the camp was somewhere near Knoxville. Does anyone know where he might be buried? To my knowledge he was not sent home to GA. Thanks, Jere
