Capt. Cunningham is listed in the 1860 TN Census as age 31 in Smith Co., TN. Most all the men of Co. H, 4th (Murray's) Cavalry Regiment, later Co. C, 8th (Baxter-Smith)Cavalry Regiment, were from Smith Co., TN.
