Nobody knows how many enlisted in Confederate commands from Tennessee. There probably are better figures for men enlisting in Federal commands, but I don't have them. For companies recruited predominantly in one Tennessee county or another, you should find a copy of Tennesseans in the Civil War. Much of that book has been posted on the web, but that section (to my knowledge) is only available in print.
