Hello, Does anyone out there know a great deal about the 183rd Ohio's role at Franklin? What I am trying to decipher is whether the 183rd Ohio had one or two companies on the front defensive line. A regimental commander says there were two; the brigade commander says there was only one. The 183rd commanders are silent on the matter. Jacob Cox indicated in his official report there was only one and then in his book about the battle said there were two. If anyone knows DEFINITELY what the real answer is I would love to hear from them. Please provide a source if you answer. Thanks.
