Checked his CSR last night-here's some tidbits

Cpl. Jeremiah Jenkins enlisted at Madisonville on Feb. 12, 1862. He is identified as having a dark complexion, and black hair and 53(!) years old. His occupation was given as farmer. His dicharge paper gives his age as 62.

Sgt. Jeremiah Jenkins enlisted in the 8th Tennessee Cav(U.S.) on Oct. 12, 1863 at Knoxville. He gave his age as 37, was 5'8", dark complected with fair hair and blue eyes. He listed his place of birth as Rankin(?) County, N.C. and his occupation as farmer. He was absent sick in hospital at Nashville from Feb. 29, 1864 and died of small pox on March 10, 1864.
