The May, 2005 meeting of the Clarksville Civil War Roundtable is Wednesday, May 18th. We meet in the cafe of Borders Books on Wilma Rudolph Road just south of I-24 and Exit 4 in the Governor's Square Mall. The meeting is open to the public.

This month's speaker is Nancy Baird from the Kentucky Museum of Western KY University in Bowling Green, KY. Her topic is "David Yandell - Confederate Doctor." Yandell was from a prominent KY family and helped to make the medical school of the University of Louisville one of the best in the nation after the war. He was surgeon to Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston, among others during the war.
