Re:Barry's Light Artillery (Lookout Artillery)

Yes I'm looking at John B. Cook (Johnny B. Cook as listed in my ggrandmother's Bible. He also had a brother James Cook. A James Cook is also listed as part of the unit.John Cook Sr (married to Mary Montgomery) was from Tennessee and moved to Arkansas in the late 1840s George Cook Married to Elizabeth Jane Haskins in Monroe Tennessee) brother to John and James had a daughter Nancy J Cook that married Geroge Fredrick Maunz. George's second wife applied for a civil war pennsion in Arkansas after he dided. George Fredrick Maunz would have been very young having been borned in 1846.

As far a the casualty list listed in the book, only showing five casualties, this is taken from a history of the company.

"On July 20, the battery, under the command of Lieutenant Richard L. Watkins, in the Battle of Peachtree Creek, went into action on General Walthall's line, and silenced an opposing Federal battery, sustaining 15 casualties"
