There is a wonderful photograph of Pvt. Samuel Wells of
the 31st (39th) Tennessee Infantry. He is in uniform,
and wearing a kepi with a large star embroided on it.

Wells was from Hawkins County, East Tennessee. Wonder if
anyone knows who owns this photo? I am working on a book
chronicling the experiences of Vaughn's and Reynolds' brigades at Vicksburg, due for publication in the fall of '06 through the Mercer University Press, and would love to include this fantastic image if I can find out who to request permission from.
