Thank you for your input. I have my doubts that this is my ancestor since the 36th was formed in the Hamilton-Meigs county area. I have ordered his service record so maybe I will know soon wherher it is him or not. I know he lived in Gibson co in 1860. Crockett co wasn't officially established until 1872. He is buried in Crockett Co in the Alamo Cemetery. He had 12 children.
