Pvt. William S. Jones, Co. I, 11th TN Vol Inf

My 3rd great grandpa William "Willie" S. Jones joined Co. I (Capt. Young's Company) of the 11th Tennessee Infantry on May 20, 1861. When he enlisted, he was about 30 years old, probably a Humphreys Co. native, a bootmaker, married with four children. He lived in the present day "Bucksnort" community of Hickman County, TN next door to the Spence Family (along I-40 midway between the Bucksnort and Only exits). At some point in his service he was detached as a teamster. In late November 1861 he died at Cumberland Gap of "disease of the lungs". I suspect that he was buried in the Cumberland Gap area. Any thoughts on a burial location? Do any cemeteries in or near Cumberland Gap contain any Confederate wartime burials? Does anyone have any additional info about my William S. Jones? Thanks for reading! Dave in Michigan
