Mr. Freeze,

"J. C. Freese" is listed in "Tennesseans in the Civil War, Volume 2" as the Assistant Quartermaster for the 25th Tennessee Infantry Regiment. Below is a link to the regimental history in Volume 1 of the same two volume set.

Neither him nor his widow filed for a Indigent Pension in the state of Tennessee or filled out a Civil War Veteran Questionaire post-war. However, a couple of soldiers or widows with the surname of Freeze did and maybe worth researching if you are interested in possible collateral relations.

To obtain his Compiled Military Service Record you can contact the managers of this message board by clicking the "Military Records Research Service" link on the left side of the page or if you want to do a personal search of a number of records you will need to visit the National Archives or one of its annexes or a number of other research facilities around the Southeastern U.S.
