Re: Died of disease winter 1861-62 Clarksville, Te

Brilliant. Thank you for your prompt and thorough reply. I would appreciate photographic images. File size is not problem [too a point]; I enjoy high speed access.

I would appreciate you make careful note of how

L. H./S. Williams

name is represented.

There is confusion. Both L.H. Williams and L.S. Williams are reported as members of Co. A, 7th Texas Infantry.

Family history has Leonard S. Williams, true age ~15 years, died at Clarksville.

Lars Gjertveit's superb 'Waco Guards' site and James M. McCaffrey's 'This Band of Heroes, Granbury's Texas
Brigade, CSA', p.184, have Leonard S. Williams present at last surrender at Greensboro, NC, Apr 1865.

Lars Gjertveit's site reported L.H. Williams, Pvt, Age 16, Died of disease 07 Feb 62, Clarksville, Tennessee.

To your knowledge, is there a headstone for L. Williams? If not, does Riverside Cemetery allow US Government furnished headstones to be installed?

Eg, Old City Cemetery,
Lynchburg, VA 24501,
http://www.gravegarden.org/markerinside.htm

allows only bronze "niche marker" on granite flat bases to be installed.

Thanks again,
