34th Tenn Company D

My ggg grandfather, PVT William M. Hancock, was in the 34th. He was from Jackson County Alabama. He was captured in Kentucky and was a POW for most of the War. I read that some men from Jackson County Alabama were called the "Overton Rifles", and another company was called the "Jackson Mountaineers". Does anyone have information on these two groups? Also, I cannot find out for sure what prison camp he was in. I need a little guidance.

THANKS!!!!
