Hi Tim

I don't have much info on the 16th other than what I have run across online, although I do have 4 relatives who served in the 16th.
James Albert Poff enlisted in Company B in November, 1862 in Manchester, TN and served through Stones River and the Tullahoma Campaign before being captured and signing the oath in July, 1863. He was my great, great, great grandfather.
GJNBE Nunley (called General and B. Ellington Nunley on census and service records) enlisted in Company E of the 16th along with his brother and uncle. He was severly wounded at Perryville and sent home. He later served with Company M, 5th TN Cavalry, USA. He was the brother of my great great grandfather.
William Riley Nunley enlisted in Company E, 16th TN with his brother and uncle. He was wounded at Stones River (right index finger shot off) and Chickamauga (right hip by a peice of shell) but stayed with the 16th throughout the war. There is a family story later printed in a newspaper that Riley Nunley saved the life of his Lt Jesse Walling at Stones River. He was my great great grandfather's brother also.
Stephen Tate enlisted in Company E, 16th TN along with two of his nephews. He was mortally wounded on May 28, 1862 at Corinth and died the next day. Captain JJ Womack mentions his death in his diary. He was me great great great grandmother's brother. His name is listed on the monument to the 16th that stands on the courthouse grounds in McMinnville.
I would be grateful for any information you might have on these men. I have genealogical info on all of them if you would like.
Thanks
Todd
