In 1861, my g-gf 2nd Lt. Andrew Jackson Webb answered the call at Sevierville TN and joined the 2nd Tennessee Cavalry, General Rosecrans Army of the Cumberland, U.S.A. He enlisted with his brother George Washington Webb. Both brothers served until the war was over and were paroled at Nashville, TN in 1865. His brother died a six month after they were paroled due to to injuries suffered at Chickamauga.

2nd Lt. A.J. Webb lost his horse and carbine at the battle of Chickamauga during General Longstreet's cavalry charge at Chickamauga Creek.

My g-gf Andrew Jackson Webb and his brother had a farm six miles west of Sevierville, TN. My g-gf moved to Burnet, Texas in 1870 and died in Brown County Texas in 1916. My g-gf Webb had eight children and the first three were born in Tennessee. My grandmother was born in Texas.
