Kate was the daughter of Louisa and John Morgan. He is not the Morgan of Morgan's Raiders. However, family lore says he was kin to that Morgan.

My child is doing a report for his Civil War unit and I'm looking for the Morgan Raiders connection. I spent a lot of time yesterday on google and ancestry.com.
