Thank you for response. I thought they would list his name as being killed during the battle even if he had been buried in one of the mass graves. I did order his records...today. I had ordered records from the national archives and received just three muster rolls...the last showing that he had been killed at the Battle of Shiloh. I hope these will have more information.
